The February 16th edition of the Whidbey News Times (page A3) has published an article outlining the Subdivision Code revision project http://www.whidbeynewstimes.com/portals-code/list.cgi?paper=84&cat=23&id=1158332&more=0 . I would like to highlight two significant points that this article identifies:
- the current and future regulations that govern subdivisions belong to the community; they are your regulations not the City's;
- typically the most effective time for citizens to participate in any public process associated with development, is during times when the policies and regulations are being created that will be used to review future applications.
